Tandoori Chicken

Jump to Recipe·Print Recipe

Tandoori chicken is marinated in yogurt, lemon and spices. The yogurt helps slowly tenderize the meat making it soft and well… tender! Additionally, the Air fryer lightly chars the chicken without overcooking any of it. Each bite is perfectly tender with a light char. Exactly what you want for a good boneless tandoori chicken

This recipe is also ridiculously simple to make. In a large bowl add chicken, yogurt, lemon, cumin, coriander powder, tandoori powder, paprika and salt. Mix until the chicken is coated and the yogurt is a vibrant even color. Let the chicken sit and marinate for at least 30 minutes, preferably overnight. Then place the chicken thighs in batches in the air fryer basket (I manage about 3- 4 thighs at a time). Cook for 12-15 minutes ay 400 degrees. This recipe is out sanely delicious. You will want to make this chicken all the time after you realize how quick and easy it is to make something that delicious.

What is an Air Fryer?

The air fryer is an amped-up countertop convection oven.

How Does An Air Fryer Work?

An air Fryer has a compact space for faster cooking. The top of the unit holds a heating mechanism with a fan. The heat the rushes down and around food placed in the basket. This rapid circulation makes the food crisp, much like deep frying.

Is An Air Fryer Healthy:

An argument can be made that an air fryer produces healthier food by using less oil. Frozen french fries prepared in the air fryer contain between 4 and 6 grams of fat versus their deep-fried counterpart at a whopping 17 grams per serving.
